"What we bring, finally, into the new day, every day,
Is ourselves. And that’s all we need To start. That’s everything we require to keep going. Look back only for as long as you must, Then go forward into the history you will make."
― Alberto Ríos, American writer and poet (excerpt from A House Called Tomorrow)
Hello!
Hope you're all doing well this week EIGHT! WEEK EIGHT! Goodness...! This past week, COMS Club and CLA Advising lead our Meeting 5: Schedule Builder Session. We went over some quick tips on how to make registration more smooth, a demo on how to use the Schedule Builder program, and a Q&A with CLA Advising and COMS faculty. All our notes and slides from the meeting are archived on our website. Check it out here! This week, the first round of Winter Registration opens! Remember to check out your Student Center within your Cal Poly Portal for your registration time. This Wednesday, November 4th from 11:10-12am PT, we will have the meeting room open for an Election Debrief. As the presidential election will be tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3rd, we wanted to push our Professor Panel to the following week. Take this hour for yourself, or if you want a listening ear and some company, COMS Club will be there as some company. Subscribe to our Google Calendar to never miss a meeting!
Final reminder to VOTE! The presidential election is TOMORROW, Tuesday, November 3rd. Please, please, please take some time out to go out and safely vote, or remember to drop-off your ballot. If you are not registered and in California, you can STILL VOTE; ask for a conditional ballot and register the same time you cast your vote. More tips and details are available on our website from our Voter Registration Seminar. Cal Poly also has an election guide with more information, as well as campus specific events and resources around voting.
