Hello! It's Week 6 - mid-quarter vibes! Hope everyone's doing well getting through midterms and everything else coming at you this winter. For those who celebrate, Happy Lunar New Year this week! 🧧🐮新年快樂 (Happy New Year) from Shelby and Chelsie! This week, we will be hosting Meeting 2: Townhall—Climate Change on Wednesday, February 10th from 11:10am-12pm. We will be featuring a student speaker, Amanda Smith, who will be talking through her interests and experience with environmental sustainability and climate justice. There will also be an interactive discussion following her presentation to outline what are some ways our COMS community can address this pressing issue. Come out and join us! Check out the full meeting and event calendar here. For members of our Mentorship Program, we will be holding a social for you all the following week on Wednesday, February 17th from 11:10am-12pm! It will be a casual get-together; meet with other Mentorship Groups and join us for some games! In celebration of Black History Month this month, COMS Club will be leading a fundraising effort later this month! Keep your eyes peeled for updates.
