Professional Development Monthly!


Spinning-off our Events and Internships segment from the Weekly COMS Club Newsletter, this monthly newsletter will curate internship, event, and professional development resources for COMS students!


Each issue will not only showcase some interesting opportunities for students, but also feature a different professional development theme.

  • LinkedIn

    • Job search and networking platform!

    • Useful for building out a living resume and connecting with people in your network.

    • Tip: Add professional contacts (peers, co-workers, people you meet at interviews, etc.) on the site as you meet them.


  • Handshake

    • Another job search platform - made for college students!

    • Connect with job postings aimed towards college students. Register for student events and connect with alumni.

    • Tip: Check out some useful articles for college students and career development on their blog!


  • AngelList

    • Job site for working with startups.

    • Similar to the other two sites: if you have them up already, it doesn't take too long to update an AngelList profile.

    • Tip: Particularly good for people interested in working in tech and startup industries and investment.
