COMS Mentorship Program
About the Program
To facilitate better relations between new students, returning students, and faculty, the COMS Mentorship Program aims to connect small groups of new COMS students with similar academic and professional interests together with a peer mentor and professor.

The 2020-21 program is open to all COMS majors and minors (both as Mentees and Mentors).

2020-21 COMS Mentorship Program applications are currently closed for MENTORS and MENTEES. If you have interest in joining the program as part of a future cohort, please email us at calpolyslocomsclub@gmail.com
How does this work?
Applications for the COMS Mentorship program will open on Friday, September 18th.

Mentor applications will open September 18th. Mentee applications will open September 23rd.

Mentor-mentee groups will be announced Wednesday, October 7th.

Mentees will be grouped together with a student Mentor and facilitating faculty. The program itself has minimal time requirements, but program members are recommended to be active COMS Club members.
What do I get out of this?
The goal of this program is to facilitate better relationships between students through peer to peer mentoring.
In addition to fostering interpersonal and small group relationships, the COMS Club aims to provide opportunities for these groups to network with department professors and speakers.
